But won't custom-designed cards be really expensive?

It seems like they would be, right? But I've done some cost-figuring, and even I was surprised! Having me custom design your perfect cards and having Wave Printing print them for you usually won't cost more than getting generic cards at Wal-Mart or some other place, and sometimes, it costs even LESS! Here are some figures I came up with*:

100 - 5.25" x 4.25" folded cards, full color

Online card company: approximately $119
